The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2025 concluded on a thrilling note with Lahore Qalandars lifting their third trophy by defeating Quetta Gladiators by 6 wickets.
Sikandar Raza, who represented Zimbabwe’s test team till Saturday noon (May 24), joined Qalandars’ squad 10 minutes ahead of the toss for the final on Sunday evening (May 25) at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Hasan Nawaz’s 76-run knock played a crucial role in guiding the Gladiators to a 200-plus total. But, the quickfire performances of Kusal Perera, Mohammad Naeem, Abdullah Shafique, and Sikandar Raza propelled Lahore to successfully chase a 202-run target with a 6-wicket victory and 1 ball to spare.

Final Verdict: PSL 2025 Prize Money
The prize money of the PSL 2025 isn’t very impressive, as the payouts are specified only for the winners ($500,000) and the runner-up ($200,000). It could have been a motivating factor if the bonuses were rewarded for the teams that concluded third or fourth in the tournament.
In comparison, the PSL does not even inch closer to the prize money of the winner and runner-up of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is $2.4 million and $1.56 million, respectively.
Overall, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has set a direct focus only on the tournament’s final, which doesn’t meet the expectations of a top-tier cricket tournament.
